Welcome to the world of squeaky clean adventures on wheels! As avid RV enthusiasts, we know the struggle of keeping our mobile haven spick and span. But fear not, fellow wanderers! I've compiled a list of my absolute favorite cleaning products and supplies that will turn your RV into a shining paradise. I can’t forget to mention my favorite laundry products! Get ready to make cleanliness your road trip companion!

Maintaining our RV is a labor of love, and I'm all about steering clear of anything that might spell trouble for our wheels and tanks. Now, let's address the elephant in the room – the bleach debacle. Personally, I shy away from products with bleach, but when I must, I use a tiny amount right before dumping to minimize its tank time. The RV community has varied opinions on this, so buckle up for a ride through the maze of tank-friendly choices. Remember, a little research goes a long way – always investigate before introducing any potential tank hazards.

Kitchen, Living, Dining, and Bed Rooms:

  • For the kitchen, I love using Lysol Pro Kitchen Spray. Not only does this smell amazing, but it works so well! It's a disinfecting, all-purpose, degreaser spray that truly lives up to its full potential. I use this on all of my kitchen appliances, my sink, my countertops, table, and dinette seats.

  • Doing the dishes in a RV can be exhausting, but to help with the process I use Dawn Powerwash Spray and Antibacterial Dawn Liquid Soap. The powerwash is great for dishes with stuck on food, and since we don't have a dishwasher, I like to use antibacterial Dawn.

  • I use microfiber towels for cleaning everything except the bathroom. I love microfiber towels because they are gentle on your surfaces but they do a great job at removing stuck-on debris.

  • I love my Swiffer Duster for a quick dusting. It is nice to have a tool that can reach up high, especially when it isn't super convenient to carry a step ladder around inside a camper.

  • My Swiffer Wet Jet comes in handy for quick mopping. I love my spin mop that we have at home, but it is not convenient to store or use in a camper, so I don't recommend bringing it with you. The Wet Jet does a great job in our RV. I also like that the mop pads are disposable. Our RV does not have a washer or dryer so it is nice to just throw them away after using them.

  • I am a huge scrub daddy fan! I use a lot of their products for all over the camper. The scour daddy is my go to sponge for washing dishes and cleaning my bathroom sink/shower, the scrub daddy and scrub daddy caddy for the kitchen sink, the soap daddy for my dish soap, and the damp duster for dusting most surfaces throughout the camper. The damp duster does such a great job with dust, but it’s exceptional for picking up pet hair! The soap daddy is awesome because you can squeeze it to get soap out of the bottom or pump the top with your sponge to get soap out of the top.

  • My Chom Chom roller comes in clutch when I need to get all of the dog hair off our bedding! This little guy does a great job at picking up all the hair, it’s easy to use, and it’s satisfying seeing all the hair and dander you got off your bed. You can use this on your couch as well, but ours isn’t cloth.

  • This Shark vacuum cleaner is my all-time favorite vacuum for RV living! It comes apart easily and fits into a drawer under my son’s bunk bed. It’s cordless and the battery lasts a while! We can usually vacuum three or four times on one full charge. I use it to vacuum the entire camper, including our mattresses on the days we wash our bedding.

  • For small jobs that are difficult to scrub by hand, I use my Rubbermaid Power Scrubber. This is perfect for my faucets, drains, and any other small areas that need a little harder scrubbing.

  • If you are looking for a great screen cleaner, this one is great! I use this on my TVs, computer screens, tablet screens, and even to clean my phone screen.

  • When I finally have all of the dishes washed and out of the sink, I get started on deep cleaning my sink. I use the power scrubber with the pink stuff - miracle paste to clean my drain and faucet spout. I then use my Dish Daddy Wand to clean the entire inside of the sink. I fill the dish daddy with my antibacterial dawn soap. The scrub head on the wand does a great job at removing any stuck on food, and the antibacterial soap helps it get super clean. To sanitize, I spray with my Lysol Pro Kitchen Spray that I mentioned earlier, let it sit according to the instructions, and then wipe it out.

Bathroom:

  • The Pink Stuff - Miracle Paste is a must for getting your shower and sink sparkling clean! Pair it with scrubbing bubbles and a scour daddy for effortless scrubbing!

  • I cannot go without using the Clorox Toilet Wand for cleaning my toilet bowls. I use these at home in every bathroom. I attempted to use a regular toilet brush when we first moved into the camper. I even tried other versions of the Clorox toilet wand, but none of them compared.

  • To clean the toilet, I use Lysol Cleaning wipes. I like using these because I can throw them away instead of having to wash them. I personally never understood using reusable cloths to clean the toilet, but it would be more cost efficient if you choose to do so. If your RV does not have a washer/dryer, you would need to figure out a way to store the dirty ones until you go to the laundromat.

  • If you’re looking for a great way to scrub your shower without breaking your back, try out this electric spin brush! It does a great job with little effort from you! I use mine with scrubbing bubbles and the pink paste just like I would with the scour daddy. The handle is great to prevent you from having to squat down or reach up high. I do think the scour daddy does a better job at removing hard water stains and limescale compared to the spin brush, so I like to use the scour daddy on the faucets and shower head and the spin brush everywhere else.

Car:

  • When it comes to vacuuming my car, I have two vacuums that I use. The Shark WandVac comes in handy for quick cleaning since the battery does not last a long time. The suction of this vacuum is strong which is nice because a lot of handheld vacuums I have tried did not have strong enough suction.

  • I use my Lilly Brush all over my carpets before I vacuum to make it an easier process. This tool is very helpful because not only does it help get pet hair up, but it also knocks any dirt or debris loose from the carpet making it easier to vacuum it up. No more vacuuming the same spot over and over again.

  • If I am deep cleaning, I use my pet vacuum which has a hose and smaller attachment to reach more difficult areas. I haven’t been able to find the exact one we have, but this one seems to be very similar and is only a fraction of the price compared to more professional models.

  • I like to use an all-in-one cleaner when I can. This Chemical Guys Total Interior spray works wonders! You can use it on all of your car’s surfaces which saves time, money, and space.

  • I opt for Sprayway glass cleaner for my windows and mirrors. I haven’t had any trouble with it leaving streaks behind. I usually wipe my windows with a microfiber towel.

  • Using detail brushes helps me get deep into crevices, compartments, and even the vents. I like to spray my steering wheel, console, and compartments with my interior spray and then use these brushes to deep clean the pores of the material. You’d be amazed at how much dirt gets stuck in them!

  • Of course I have to have an organizing caddy to store all of these amazing products! I use this gardening bag and have found it to be the perfect size to fit everything. You can store it in a trunk organizer like this one, or if you’re like me and you use your trunk organizer to haul your groceries, you can put it in the under storage of your camper.

  • When it comes to spot cleaning, I love to use my Bissell SpotClean Pet Pro carpet cleaner. This little guy does a great job on the carpets of my car and the carpeted areas in the camper! I like to use this carpet cleaning solution because I think it does a better job at deep cleaning and removing stains than some of the other ones I have tried.

Laundry:

  • Trying to pick between cost-effective vs space-saving products when it comes to doing laundry can be tricky. I love to use Tide Pods, and even though they are more expensive than the liquid or powder, it is worth it to me because I don’t have to worry about it spilling during transport.

  • Oxiclean sanitizer is my favorite sanitizing solution for laundry. I used to use a liquid laundry sanitizer, but I would always find small areas of product left in my clothes. The Oxiclean is great at getting stains out and keeping my clothes looking new.

  • To boost my stain-fighting abilities, I also pre-treat my clothes with Shout stain remover spray. This definitely comes in handy with a toddler!

  • Instead of carrying around a bottle of bleach, I buy the these bleach pacs. I like these because there’s no mess and you just throw it into the machine with your laundry. Who doesn’t like making laundry easier?

  • When it comes to my favorite dryer sheets, these are amazing especially if you have pets who shed! My clothes always come out clean and fresh. I store them in a small zipper pouch so I don’t have to tote around the whole box.

  • I use small containers with screw on lids and a spout to store my oxiclean, scent beads, and tide pods in.

  • I store all of these items in a caddy which makes it so much easier to carry my products to and from the laundromat. I made sure the containers I bought would fit in my caddy before I bought them.
